SOUTH THOMASTON – Christopher R. Lombardo, 56, died surrounded by his loved ones, Monday, August 20, 2018 at Pen Bay Medical Center in Rockport.
Born in Rockland, October 5, 1961, he was the son of Jasper and Shirley Bower Lombardo. Chris was educated locally and graduated from Rockland District High School in 1980.
Following high school, Chris worked for a few years as a meat cutter. In 1986 he began his career with FMC in Rockland as a building specialist. For 20 years Chris was employed there before beginning a new adventure at Masters Machine in Bristol. There he made many good friends who were all helpful and supportive during his illness.

An avid outdoorsman, Chris loved spending time on North Pond, ice fishing and open water fishing with his brothers. He also took great joy in target shooting. His taste in music was varied and you never knew if he would be blasting heavy metal or listening to Frank Sinatra when you went to visit. He was a collector of many things, especially comic books and he had a special place in his heart for animals, particularly his cats Boots and Casey.

He will be sadly missed by all who loved him.

Predeceased by his parents; Chris is survived by his brothers, James Lombardo and his wife Sharon of Owls Head, Stephen Lombardo and his wife Susan of Warren; his nephews, Adam Lombardo of Owls Head, Stephen Lombardo of Waldoboro; as well as his chosen family, Tony and Anna Collado of Rockport and Russell Thompson of Waldoboro.

Anyone who knew Chris, knew he had his own way of doing things, and in keeping with this, he has requested no services be held.

Arrangements are in the care of Burpee, Carpenter & Hutchins Funeral Home, 110 Limerock Street, Rockland.
