HOLLYWOOD, FLA. — Clarissa (Chris) Holmes-Lyon, 72, a longtime resident, passed away Feb. 1, 2018

Born Clarissa May Fields in Rockland, she was a graduate of Rockland High School in the class of 1963, where, according to a classmate, “She was a lot of fun in school, and a friend to all."

She was predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Hilda Fields, brother Robert (Bobby) Fields, and sister Gloria Beal-Thorbjonson.

She is survived by her husband, Mike Lyon, of Hollywood, Fla.; sisters Betty Pease of Union, Rhoda Fields of Montville; brother Timothy Fields of Hope; former husband Randolph (Randy) Holmes, of Vernon, Conn.; and their five children: Robert, Amanda, Eben, Jason and Carey; as well as 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Clarissa loved taking her children and a packed cooler to Lucia Beach for the day, resulting in the tan of tans! Many friends knew her tending bar at the Hollywood, Fla., VFW where she loved bar poker, lotto, 0-9's, and her favorite - bingo! During her retired years, Clarissa enjoyed traveling to New England to share her many stories with family and friends. Clarissa's beautiful smile, light and spirit will be missed by all who knew her.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Sunday, August 19, 2018, at the Rockville Cemetery, Rt. 17, Rockport. Pastor Mark Holden will officiate.
